Cover Illustration for Zeit Magazine Hamburg
The art director of Zeit-Magazin Hamburg reached out me to create an editorial illustration, consisting of two cover-images, one for the outer cover and an additional illustration shown on the first page. The issue N˚ 46 is highlighting the most beautiful facets of my former hometwon Hamburg. The magazins Cover-issue was "Hamburg, my pearl!", a known allegorical saying referring to the beauty of this metropolis located near the north sea. Conceptionally working with the motion of openeing the magazine I created the image of an irridescent closed shell on the outside and an open shell on the second cover. Here, Hamburgs most beautiful gems blast out of the shell.
